The meeting kicked off with the continental breakfast , Doughnuts, Bagels, Muffins, Orange Juice, and coffee, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and was
followed by A.O.T.C. President, Jack Hart giving the opening remarks. The first lecture of the day was presented by Denise
Paige, CPC. She gave a very informative talk on Orthopaedic Coding. Frank Perreault,OTC, gave a great lecture about "Know your Anatomic Structures,
The Truth will Set You Free." Next up , Tom Byrne , OTC, gave a very informative and entertaining lecture about "Minimally Invasive Surgery".
Jack Hart, OTC, capped off the mornings lectures with his enlightening talk on "Upper Extremity Casting".
All during the mornings lectures there were drawings for gift cards and we had several lucky winners. Lunch was served at noon and consisted of
Pizza, salad, french bread, soft drinks, and a desert. After lunch was the
Immobilization Workshop sponsored by VN Medical. Jack Hart, OTC, got the workshop rolling with a short
talk on casting and demonstrations of several specialty casts. The attendees
broke up into groups and practiced their casting skills and techniques.
